FXWars wip

Post by gustavoeb » 01 Oct 2012, 01:40

Hey guys sorry for the shameles plug. I've just entered the FXWars challenge (at CGtalk), althought its another forum and all Ill be using SI and ICE as my main tools to try making through the challenge. I'll try to create some tools and simulations and give at least a brief overview of how they are built, as a matter of fact I've just built a quick tool to sketch dunes and deserts with curves and a brief description is contained therin.

Here is the link for the thread:

Hope others with some time on theire hands can get into the challenge too! :D

Very cool! Looking forward to the end product and see what other cool tools you come up with.

If you're looking to put some characters in there let me know and I'll get you a Species license if you don't have one already. ;)

Hey Eric, thanks for the very generous offer. I wasnt planning to do characters, as I am doing this on my spare time... but now that you mention Species :D
We'll see, my main goal for now though is to come up with procedural tools for the envoiroment, sims for the sand/smoke/dust/cloth/whatever else , and rendering. I havent participated in any of this challenges before, so I have no idea what is going to be the outcome...
