I don't get it (quite literally),
does this perhaps refer to an image attachment on that board that's invisible until you log in?

x_x Yikes! :o)

I think the thing that's mostly hurting my eyes is the colors of the icons. I think that alternate icon layout could be beneficial if you were to have the crazy notion of using Softimage on smartphone, tablet via remote desktop! B-) :-o :ymdevil:

No amount of ugly icons will make it worse than Maya's interface.
The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools.

I was searching for way to super customize the UI of Maya to reflect XSI (so that I can actually use Maya efficiently), but then there are people that like to do the opposite :-)

(By the way if you know anyone that has done it please provide info. thanks)

What I want to know is how he loaded the Icons into Softimage. I'm having a heck of a time. I'm saving my BMP files at 8-bit index files, Softimage won't load it. I tried transparent PNG files, they won't load either, I tried 24-bit BMP files, they won't load as well. I don't like that Softimage can't load vector formats, for nice clean icons, instead of the bitmap icons.

The Softimage icons are ugly, the weight panel icon, is ugly and hard to read, as a icon, you may disagree but it could use some work. I know Softimage is not an icon GUI, a few here and there wouldn't wreck Softimage, as they already have those few icons anyhow. The author of this layout, went extreme.

He shared the icons in that thread, they are bmp 24bits 44x44 pixels.

Unfortunately google translation of this:
Иконки рисовал сам. Ко многим должны идти удобные скрипты и всякие тулзы. Скоро я поделюсь наработками. Что есть отдаю.

is dreadful:
Icons painted by himself. Must go to the many convenient scripts and all sorts of Tulsa. Soon I will share operating time. What is surrender. :)
