Yes it works on 64 bit. But keep in mind that it uses the push deformer to make the thickness.
So you could replace the push deformer later on with the "move normal add on" (sry don´t have the link yet) to get a "correct" result.
Its a bit like doing it by hand but at least it saves you from copying polys to close the other side,...when you use the thickness addon first then replace "push" with move normal.
