New Mootzoid Website, new Softimage Plugin

Post by Mootzoid » 04 Oct 2013, 11:50

Hi there!

Just a short post to inform you about the brand new mootzoid.com website that was published yesterday:

Furthermore there is a new plugin available for Softimage.
It is called emReader, here's a short video tutorial that demonstrates its usage:

A sneak peak at the upcoming emTopolizer2 (version 2.0) is also available on Vimeo:

Last but not least the video Toolz in the House, showing some things that can be made with the latest version of emTools:

Cheers!

Hi Mootzoid,

Great website and great plugins for Softimage.

I detect a little bit of The Foundry website influence in yours. Clean and modern, good job.

Can't wait to order emTopolizer2 when available (on my Xmas list).

Thanks for the emTools. They are great.

@Daniel: Thanks, glad you like the new site! Any resemblance with already existing sites is not my fault since I did not design it ;)

@Owei: Thanks, Dottore!

Hi Eric,

Site looks great! Thanks for the great tools!

I use Softimage for game development. Is there really anything else?

Love the new site! Really presents your tools nicely.

By the way, I noticed that emRead is no longer free for Modo and Maya. Has this been this way for a while, or is this a change that comes with the new site?

emReader was never free for Modo. Same for the Maya version (once it is released).

"So why is the Softimage version for free?"

Good question. It is for free, because a.) most of its functionality is already present in Softimage's factory Polygonizer and b.)the Softimage emReader is going to be needed for the upcoming emTopolizer2. Latter will not be for free, so I thought that it would be fair if at least emReader was.

Hope this explains it a bit.

Eric writing here:

Apologies!!
By mistake I clicked on "Edit" (instead of reply) and overwrote your original message.
Gosh, how embarrassing x_x

Please forgive me, Tim!

Ah that's funny! Let me see.... I think I said something like...

"Great! Makes sense. I thought I remembered the Modo plugin being free early on, but maybe I'm remembering it wrong..."

Something like that....

Thanks, Tim :)

Now I'll crawl back into my hole with the big "a-coder-too-stupid-to-reply-to-posts" sign in front of it :)
