Hi guys,
Can I generate a FG map in 800x600, save this map and reuse generating an image with 2000x1500 pixels?
Thanks,
Small FG map + big resolution image

If I understand you correctly, this should be as easy as
- Pointing the Map File to your "small" FG-map
- Setting "Final Gathering > Map File Settings" to "Only use FG points from file".
;)

Thanks, Hirazi.
But what I would know is if I can generate a FG map with small resolution (800x600, for exemple) and make a big render (2000x1500, for exemple) using the 800x600 FG map.

Re: Small FG map + big resolution image
I asked this once and was advised against it. for the reason that FG is screen space based. that being said I think that is the aspect ratio stays the same I honest cannot see why it would be a problem but then again I have not tried it.Leandro Oliveira wrote:Thanks, Hirazi.

Yeah,
They say the resolution of the smaller FG Map can generate artifacts if it is used in a bigger image.
