Simple flying, landing from geo to geo

Post by sant0s » 16 Mar 2018, 13:00

Hey there :)

I just freak out, since I actually wanna do something super easy but feels like super complicated.
I want particles start on a geometry, fly to another geometry, start there again and fly to the final geometry.

Should be a perfect job for emFlock.
Problem is, that with emFlock the particles always make lots of extra flying movement along the fly path.

I remember a tutorial, where I could just let particles start from a geometry and they evenly distributed landed on another geometry.
Super simple and no extra features. Just starting, flying, landing.

Does anyone remember that tutorial?
Or has an idea, whats the most simple way to do that?
Or is emFlock the only solution?

Thx alot,
sant0s :)

what about something like this?
Image

state 0 is directly in simulation root node, state 1 gets triggered by distance to the first goal and state 2 by time in state 1

there could be more elegant solution. i haven't used this part of ICE in years :)

Hey Milan,
thats perfect, thx!

I added some extra force on trigger to get something like flying, I think thats enough for that. :)

Cheers,
