As far as I understood it's only the 3ds Max and Blender plugins that are free. The SDK version is circa €5k (dependent on use case volume and suchlike).

For typical independent XSI enthusiasts, using Houdini Indie or RizomUV would seem to offer better options (both easily scriptable) for optimal UV packing. There's also Headus UVLayout. Even with it's 1990's UI! it still offers an amazing set of UV tools. The integration plugin by Shekn is ace - http://si-community.com/download/lb/sla ... 9.xsiaddon - as is his 3d Coat addon - http://si-community.com/download/lb/sla ... 3DCoat.zip -. Neither Headus or 3d Coat offer the same multi-threaded packing performance of UV Pack but Shekn's integration plugins make them feel like native XSI tools. RizomUV and Houdini are both comparable to UV Pack with regards to performance but you'll need to script them to make the inter-app workflow comparable to Shekn's existing options. Maybe he could be convinced to provide an addon for RizomUV - the Rizom api makes it a relatively simple task.

A Lightwave developer created free Rizom Bridges for 3d Coat, Maya, Substance Painter, Rhino and ZBrush a few years back and I downloaded them all so these should provide the necessary api hooks for anybody wanting to script a bridge for Softimage. I'd intended doing it myself but have never got round to it (having been a beta tester for Foundry for 10+ years I tend to do all my asset creation in Modo and use the live Modo bridge to Rizom).

I've bundled those five Rizom bridges for download here https://d.pr/f/EosqOg.rar.

Having said all that if you own a Max license, or use Blender for modelling, the free UV Pack plugins are a no-brainer. I don't believe the Blender plugin is available yet but it seems to due sometime very soon.

One note: connectors to UVLayout and 3DCoat are not my plugins. The author is Sshadows (in real Slava Shumikhin). There are some confusions in the credits on si-community resources page.

Apologies. That's where I got the credit information from. I did think it strange that it was a completely different Github address to https://ssoftadd.github.io/ but thought it might be something you set up many years ago. :)
