Hi Everyone
I've just noticed a strange error happening in SI. All of a sudden Collada is gone from the list. I can only export or import FBX. There is no entry for Collada. When checking the plugins I can see an error related to the dotxsi and directximporter. But nothing on CrossOver.
Last time I've used it was 3-4 months ago. Since I've installed Alembic and wasn't using Collada, until yesterday where I really needed it.
Any idea why would this happen?
Strange Error, CrossOver Collada is missing!

Hi Myara
Yes I've tried it just now, still the same. And come to think of it last time I ran SI was a few months back where I had to run runonce.bat.

Sorry I have no idea, but checking the Plugin Manager, it seems that the Importer for dae, xml, and xsi files is the same dotXSIConverter.64.dll.
Maybe you should try reinstalling.

Is it called CrossOver? I think it was called Crosswalks.
If you had to run runonce.bat a few month ago to run XSI, then something probably had broke your instalation, like one of those damn registry cleaner.
runonce would have fixed XSI, but it might have fixed crosswalk, because that's a separate plugin installed outside of the XSI installation.
there are all sorts of troubleshooting things here: https://xsisupport.com/tag/crosswalk/

Thanks Luceric and Myara, I'll reinstall XSI when I have the chance/stomech for it. Not in a hurry to do so right now. Thanks again for your help and feedback.

Try the following: copy the "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Softimage 2015 R2-SP2\Application\Plugins\dotXSIConverter.64.dll"
to the "User\...\Application\Plugins" folder and restart Softimage.
Ignore versioning errors. This should bring the Crosswalk options back as a "User-Plugin"...
I can't test if the "Export to Max/Maya" still work, but this does bring back Collada...

The same trick works for "DirectXImport.dll" & "DirectXExport.dll" as well, to restore DirectX-options...
