Mosquito shooting down V1's

Post by ActionArt » 28 Jan 2011, 17:16

Hi All,

Here's a project I just finished in SI. It shows Stuart May in his Mosquito "Flame McGoon" where he shot down 2 V1 bombs in one evening (the first can be seen exploding on the water in the background).

I tried aaOceanSuite for the water and quite liked it.

Hope you enjoy :)

I like it, especially the slightly "stylized" render (for lack of a better word) B-)
The background almost has a painterly quality to it. Nice... ;)
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

Thanks! It is definitely stylized to look more painted that photo-realistic and gets printed on canvas. It's been a big switch learning SI (from Lightwave) but definitely worth the effort. I've learned a lot on the last two projects so the next one will be that much better :)

Great to see other work than the spaceships, monsters or alike... ;)

The only criticism I have is that I feel the ocean wave scale is off compared to the plane and such.

Other than that I think you're building a interesting set of images here :ymparty:
