Hello to everybody!
I'd like to ask is it possible to make ik on mt spring?
I need mt sping link but the end of it should be constrained(pinned end).
I know MT Spring is fully FK, but I was trying to constrain last spring element to the null,
but when I animate mt sprint eff the link is just breaking and also I was trying to link IK bones with mt spring,in this way each mt spring element is working seperatly, and the simulation looks wierd this way.
Please help me!
How can I make MT Spring simulation with constrained end?
IK on MT Spring
Re: IK on MT Spring
hi there,
as You already said, MT Spring is FK only. If you want 'true' pinned simulation, solver has to support that. AFAIK there is nothing in MT Spring code, that looks like this.
Now, you can do some 'post-process', let's say, use a two independent MT spring chains, one starting from root bone, another would be reverse, starting from effector. Then you constraint bones in the 'final' chain, gradually from root to effector, to both MT spring chains. But all that has some sense only on chains with much more than two bones. And there is a good chance for unwanted effects. At least, won't be easy to keep the effector 'absolutely' pinned.
