headlight rig

Post by craft » 18 Oct 2010, 05:02

i guess this might be useful for polygon modellers . the attached addon contains a plugin for creating an headlight rig with a bit more control than the native SI Headlight. Meaningly:

- you can have more than one light
- rotate lights directly on viewport
- lets you see the inside of geometry (native headlight makes it hard since it's a 1 light set). tweaking light colours make it easy to distinguish front and back faces.

to install: drag&drop addon to you viewport. go to menu get > primitive > light > HeadLight Rig

i keep asking myself why i did this thing and i just can't figure it out.

Makes sense to have a second light for backfaces. Thanks for posting!
