Re: The end of post production in next decade?
Wasn't it George Lucas who predicted the end of expensively produced movies like starwars?

George says alot of hot air. If Star Wars didn't have a cult following, the films would have all been a flop.

That is the most peculiar thing I've heard in a long time. It's like saying, Steve Jobs was deluded, if nobody bought had bought his products, Apple would be insignificant.Falam wrote:George says alot of hot air. If Star Wars didn't have a cult following, the films would have all been a flop.
The REALITY is that Star Wars was spectacularly successful beyond anyone's wildest dreams.

I think he is talking about the cult created by the old three films.

And by the end of the century, George Lucas will proceed with projecting his own imagination directly to the cerebral cortex of all human beings on earth, thus ending the long and tedious era of production all together. #prayforfilmworkers

I'm not sure The Inquirer quite understand fully what Post Production actually entails. The end of post production in next decade?
All those assets still need to be made. All those environments still need to be populated. All those charcters still need to be rigged. etc. etc
Re: The end of post production in next decade?
It makes that stage pre-production.
Being able to properly see what you're doing on stage would be far better for directors rather than waiting months for the results.

Like pre-animated monsters? Graded footage? Post production is more than a technical process, it is designing a vision. It will be faster and simpler but never obsolete.Pooby wrote:It makes that stage pre-production.
