Importing Houdini Trails into softimage

Hey guys,

been learning houdini, and did some trails in it, was wondering how to import it into softimage, tried alembic but didn't seem to work.

depending on what you want to import, fbx might be an option.
alembic in Si is a bit hit and miss in the latest versions imho.

if I recall correctly, 'crate' from the chaps at exocortex was free now. not sure though.

Alembic did work, but decided to join bring in the points and using ice strands to render the trails, was an overall easier way to get it to work. alembic did bring in the curves but i didn't want to go back and forth.
