They keep joining in
Re: They keep joining in
The news for Blender has been quite interesting this year. I'm curious to see where it goes.
Re: They keep joining in
Yep, i hope the hype and the $$$ means workable solutions. Blender should not forget that if they play with big boys they start to get also more attention and criticism.
Re: They keep joining in
I think I should look into blender once again, maybe things may change quicker than I've thought. -I know workflow is still crappy-
Re: They keep joining in
I tired blender 2.80
the interface is much more usable. however, it's still a pain to create anything via splines, and it's missing some modeling tools.

I think Blender 2.8 is genuinely an improvement over earlier versions,
but I personally dislike that the focus has shifted towards EEVEE.
It would have been nice, if they had kept the "native" Blender renderer around as an option as well...

Stay safe, sane & healthy!

Really? I love Eevee, hated Blender Render. I've done about half a dozen projects in Eevee this year, and it has delivered. Reflections and refraction can be improved, and some better GI, but it's really fast for what it is. It's like.. authoring in Unreal Engine. It can do everything Blender Renderer can do. What do you miss from the legacy renderer?
