I personally think blender has a really good organisational model

I think it's a good (decentralized) model ...

When there are conferences, Ton doesn't necessarily have the last word, it's like a discussion ...
... and that seems to qualify the how things work there.
(alot of users really know blender alot)

I heard Ton isn't any richer than the person doing the sweeping..
(and that people also do their own sweeping, and the sweeping guy is part of the team lol)

Maybe similarly for Blender I don't know how much, but there is a big chunk of it which is entirely community made / and supported ! lol

Haven't got the chance to introduce myself to the community yet,
(not quite sure how to approach)

it was literally what I wanted to do just before I stopped using software... lol

Can't wait to get back to it lol

It seems that it became really good when people started really using it, while constantly improving on it ... :ymsmug:

Even the 2.7 has it's user base, and is supported by it's user base... 2.7 has it's branch,

(it can take time to get use to things, and some older parts can actually be better sometimes lol)

Probably every 2.7 users has at least dabbled in 2.8, and I'm sure most did the switch,
but some 2.7 users can have alot of reasons to still use 2.7 sometimes, 2.8 sorta changed everything lol

Otherwise there is probably not one blender install /usersetup that is the same lol
