RCTOOLS 4.2 for Softimage 2011

Stephen Blair has compiled a 64 bit Softimage 2011 compatible version of "rctools 4.2".
You'll find it at his eX-SI Support Blog: go there now
:-bd

So what are the rctools you ask:
the rctools are a venerable package of
"advanced selection tools and filters for Softimage|XSI"
(and now for Softimage also, obviously)
written by Reinhard Claus (rray)...

NONSENSE ALERT:
as Stephen Blair points out in the following post, this post is incorrect...

Don't know, if this will help, but the "xsiaddon" Stephen Blair uploaded might be advertised as "for 64 bit", but does seem to include the 32 bit version also (as far as I can tell from studying the xml, as I don't have any 32 bit OS with SI installed at hand to properly test this).
;)

Nope, I didn't compile the 32-bit version of RCFilters yet.

I stand corrected...
As there seemed to be SOME 32.dll's in the xsiaddon I wrongfully assumed all of them were available.

I'll try to get the 32-bit version out some time in the next couple of days.

Thanks again for your work on compiling this! I regularly failed at getting the c# part to compile properly.

I got the same error message, just install xPOP2 and it will work. You can download it from rray.de .

Could you please post the text of the error message you're getting?

Could it be the one concerning the "rcCustomFilterSettings" Stephen Blair mentions in the comments to the 64bit version of this plugin?
To get rid of the “ERROR : 2356 – This plug-in is not installed: rcCustomFilterSettings” delete %XSI_USERHOME%\Data\Preferences\Custom Filters (RCTools).Preset.

RCTools crashes Softimage 2011 SP1 whenever I try to complete a loop (or all)

Resolved via deleting the old preferences file as well...
