resolved issues: please report back

While I fully understand the need to post a question on every available forum, especially when deadlines are concerned, I would want to ask you all, that if a question has been resolved already in a discussion on some other forum, to please come back here and inform us of the fact that the issue has been resolved.
It has happened to me several times lately, that while searching for an "easy" answer to a question posted on our little community, I found out, the answer had already been properly addressed and answered satisfactorily on some other forum.
It's no big deal, but it really would be nice if you informed other opened threads of your progress as well...
