Re: an ordinary story
I like your humanoids way better than your monsters. These monsters somehow lack something truly menacing we've come to expect from monsters in general. But that could have something to do with the texturing so far, obviously.

Re: an ordinary story
thanks for the comment^^this thread was getting lonely
and about the comment itself.... hhmmm
i will certainly keep it to my mind
some of them i will definitely rework them as i go,some others are not that important
but i can't say i wanted to do something else
with them, they are not supposed to look menacing and angry,i went for a more comical approach
though now that you mentioned it im kind of troubled...
the good news is that i only have to make bodies for the heads i have done so far and im done with most of the characters (if not all)
if you guys have any other comments,i would like to read them as well thanks a lot

Yes, I can see what you mean with the "comic" approach. There seems to be, however, a stark contrast with the "pseudo-realism" (for lack of a better word) the humanoids seem to have.

Re: an ordinary story
here's another elf,one more to go^^
while the rest is painted in photoshop, i will have to tone down that on the new ones
thanks again for the comments
they definitely give me food for thought^^ ;)
i think, what makes the characters a bit realistic is that their faces textures are made out of pictures for the most partwhile the rest is painted in photoshop, i will have to tone down that on the new ones

Re: an ordinary story
and thats the last elf^^ still needs some stuff
but its almost there
now im going back to the feaky guys and try to improve the textures
probably they won;t be more scarier than they are now...

Re: an ordinary story
Textured "zug" looks obviously way more convincing, although the contrast between the humanoids
and this one monster still seems to be slightly too high IMHO.

Re: an ordinary story
Hirazi i understand what you mean
its because when i make a character
i just start from scratch, and decide how i want him to be
without thinking all the others and how he will fit in
i think the story is such that allows me to do that,in a way
it has so many different things thats almost impossible to match them in a sane way
but if you have any sugestion, and want to share it,it would be good to know^^
i just posted him to show some texturing progress
heres a part of the sheet i have its for knowing what needs to be done next and viewing the chars alltogether^^
etc...

Re: an ordinary story
How long have you been working on all this? It's very impressive the amount of stuff you churn out. Keep it up!
