Behavior dotXSI Exporting System Parameters Explanation:
- Actor Class Name:
Enter a valid actor class name. All actors belonging to this class will be exported.
- Exclude these nodes from optimization:
By default when exporting a simulated animation, the position and rotation fcurves will be exported
for each node in each actor. This can result in the exported files being too heavy to manage and
handle later. This check can be used to filter all position data which is not required since the
animation is considered Forward-Kinematics (FK).
To handle exceptional nodes that require position fcurves to be exported (e.g.
a character's "GlobalSRT", or "Hips"), you can use the text box below to type the
exact names of all nodes that you want to avoid filtering their position fcurves.
Use the semicolomn ";" to seperate multiple node names.
- File Name:
Enter the full path and file name for the dotXSI files. There's no need to add the file extension (.xsi).
- World Name:
Enter the dotXSI world you want to simulate and record from.
You can use the reserved keyword "%CurrentWorld%" to simulate and record the world that is
currently loaded in the XSI Viewer.
- Start Frame:
The frame number you want to start recording from.
You cannot set this parameter to negative values (for pre-rolling simulation) or to 0.
- End Frame:
The final frame's number you want to stop recording at.
- Packet Count:
Split files to separate volumes. When exporting long simulation durations with
large amounts of actors, the resulting file might be too large for later handling.
To avoid this, enter here the maximum number of actors to be exported in each file.
As a result you will get a sequence of dotXSI files with manageable file sizes.
- Reset Settings:
Restore all parameter values to their defaults.
