Description
Writes or reads weihgtmap values on disk or on RAM.
How to apply
To create a new Weightmap and apply the lmCacheMapOp on it, either select a X3DObject, a Primitive or a
Cluster. To apply the operator on an existing weightmap, select the weightmap.
Then choose "lm Cache Map" from the lmWeightMapTools menu.
lmCacheMap Operator Parameters
- Enable
Main enable parameter. If not checked the operator is desactivated. - Mode
Hold: Allways keep the current value.
Cache to RAM: keep the animation of the frame range in RAM, it allows a real-time playback of a heavy weightmap animation.
Read From File - Cache to RAM: read an animation cached on disk and fill the RAM cache with it to allow fast playback. Beware that if you change the Time parameters in this mode after the simulation has been loaded in RAM, you won't see the change!
Read From File: read an animation cached on disk.
Write To File: write a weightmap animation to disk. - Time (only in Read From File Mode)
Offset: offset the animation.
Processing: None : no time processing...
Processing: Scaling: scale the animation time (value of 2 means the animation plays twice faster, 0.5 means that it slows down the animation, with a linear interpolation between values).
Processing: Warping: allow the edition of a FCurve to warp the animation time.
How it works
The Weightmap Cache either reads or writes weightmap
animation on files. The files are located in the project database, in a
sub-directory called CacheMap. You can find the cache files in the
following directory architecture:
ProjectDirectory\CacheMap\ModelName\ObjectName\ClusterName_WeightmapName.#####.wmc
If you want to create a new weightmap that reads the simulation of
another weightmap, you can do it by changing the "Weightmap Path"
parameter of the lmCacheMapOp operator.
