Xsi Flow polygons v2 Break polygon objects into polygons at runtime (scripted operator). Developed & tested under Xsi 4.0 WARNING: this is an early prototype, it's VERY slow. Test it before using in production. This operator prototype can be used to breakup objects into polygons, detaching only a specific amount of geometry and consequently preserving discontinuity angle. The operator includes a procedural animation system, which can make the polygons fly away (it can be used to create polygonal explosions), flow object subcomponents around a center, ecc. Every parameter is animatable! The parameters: Active - Enables / disables the operator. Update - A trick used to force the operator to update on frame change. Start - The animation start frame. Nodes - The number of polygons to detach, which can be animated too! Method - 1 (Reindexing along direction) - Detaches the polygons based on polygon positions on a particular axis. 2 (Reindexing using indexes) - Detaches the polygons based on the geometry polygon indexes. Reindex_using_axis (applies only if Method = 1) - 0 = x / 1 = y / 2 = z Reindex_using_direction (applies only if Method = 1) - 0 = goes from top to bottom / 1 = goes from bottom to top Speed - The global Speed / Acceleration multiplier, a value of 0 completely stops Animation. Position_Normal_Multiply - Multiplies the normal position by the speed value. Position_XYZ_Multiply - Multiplies the polygon position by the speed value, in object space. Rotation_XYZ_Multiply - Multiplies the polygon rotation by the speed value, in object space. Global rotation - Rotates the polygons around the object center.
