Xsi wire / string v1 Curve dynamics operators Developed & tested under Xsi 4.0 These operators can simulate simple dynamics on nurbs curves. Every parameter is animatable! Both operators do the same thing, the only differ in the number of nails. The parameters: Active - Enables / disables the operator. Speed - The speed of the physics. Distance - The optimal distance between 2 points on the curve. Friction - The resisting force that determines how much energy is lost by an object as it moves. Iterations - The number of verlet iterations for each frame; increasing this value makes the wire less elastic, but at the same time slows down the simulation. Node - The 1st nail object; the number represents the point index on the curve, it can be animated too! Node1 (only string) - The 2nd nail object, same as above. Use only 1st node (only string) - Ignores the 2nd nail object. Break at 1st node (only string) - Breaks the nail relation between the 1st curve index and the 1st controller. Break at 2nd node (only string) - Breaks the nail relation between the 2nd curve index and the 2nd controller. Start - The frame at which the simulation begins. Gravity - Local force applied on the Y axis. WindX - Local force applied on the X axis. WindZ - Local force applied on the Z axis. Physics - Enable / disables physics.
